The Bright Shiny Glint of Truth in the FOI Gold Mine

Chunky Nugget !!    FOI CDN LBRY #112

This amazing Freedom of Information request revealed several issues with how Edmonton Police Services managed workplace health measures.

The key findings included:

  • Lack of Documentation: The employer did not supply adequate documentation to justify their workplace health decisions, as mandated by Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and other relevant labor laws.
  • Enforcement of Public Health Orders: Discussions with government officials indicated a belief that public health orders were not enforceable. Instead, there was a preference to focus on education to encourage voluntary compliance among employees and the public.
  • Vaccination Policy Concerns: Documents revealed awareness of the experimental status of COVID-19 vaccines, including the absence of long-term safety data and potential health risks, prior to the implementation of a vaccination policy.
  • Privacy Issues: The provided documents contained significant privacy violations.
  • Extensive Analysis: An analysis report covered the findings from a substantial review of 8,717 pages of disclosed documents.

These findings highlight concerns about compliance with legal standards and the approach taken toward public health and privacy during the pandemic.
